Bluebox advises on the sale of Peppersmtih

Bluebox Corporate Finance is delighted to announce the sale of Peppersmith, one of the leading brands of mints and chewing gum to Health Made Easy, the owner of Tree of Life, the UK’s largest wholesale distributor of healthy, natural and organic products. Pricing and other deal terms are not being disclosed.

Established in 2009, Peppersmith has grown to become the leading UK brand of sugar free and artificial ingredient free mints and chewing gum. The business encompasses a modern and healthier take on confectionery, ensuring that all of their products contain no synthetic sweeteners or other artificial ingredients. Products are sweetened with xylitol, a plant-based sweetener backed by dental, health and food organisations worldwide.

Peppersmith enjoys high profile listings across retailers such as Sainsburys, Waitrose, Morrisons, Whole Foods Market, Holland & Barrett and Planet Organic, as well as a strong online presence via Amazon and its own direct to Consumer channel.

Health Made Easy represents a fitting home for the Peppersmith brand and the transaction will enable the team to accelerate their growth plans through leveraging additional sales expertise, greater back office support and supply chain efficiencies, whilst retaining Peppersmith’s culture, ethos and health consciousness.
