Corporate Finance Partner

The Corporate Finance Partner will have a role focused largely on business origination. In addition, will lead on originating, structuring, negotiating and closing transactions. The Partner is expected to have an excellent knowledge of M&A and the ability to apply these skills creatively to diverse client needs as well as take the lead on behalf of the client in undertaking these tasks, working with the minimum of supervision, but under the overall guidance of and reporting to the Managing Director.

Responsibilities:
- Take an active role in leading the general direction of the business alongside the Managing Director and COO.

- Significant contribution to origination, the Partner will proactively seek out client origination opportunities including attending networking events, making approaches to suitable companies and through their own established network of referrers of work.

- Support new business development by attending potential client pitches and take a lead role in client pitches ensuring that all opportunities are followed up appropriately.

- Autonomously lead and run multiple projects and transactions from beginning to end.

- Responsible for leading all aspects of the sale process ensuring a successful conclusion for our clients. Playing a crucial role as the overall project manager across teams, driving the transaction timetable and ensuring quality on all client deliverables, as well having knowledge of all counterparties and other advisors to ensure transaction milestones are met.

- Lead, develop and counsel Associate Directors and Directors and take an active role in the development of the whole team.

- Take an active role in recruitment, training and development of the Corporate Finance Team.

The successful candidate will:

- Be fully qualified (CA, ACCA or equivalent) or part qualified with an appropriate level of practical experience, or

- Have another relevant professional qualification or experience in a related industry including banking or private equity

- Have 10+ experience of working in M&A and/or financial due diligence

- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills and have an eye for detail

- Have an established network of contacts and willing to be actively involved in networking and business development

- Have excellent technical knowledge and demonstrate a proactive approach to learning and CPD

- Demonstrate a flexible attitude to work and be able, and willing, to take ownership for their work

- Be a strong team player and demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and clients
