Staff Interview – Squiggle

March 2, 2020

This month we interview our newest team member, Squiggle. However, known as Barry or Bazza to most of the team. Having only been born in late September, he’s the youngest member to have ever joined Bluebox. He’s a black Cockapoo that sports a thick fluffy coat and loves to be called a good boy.

  1. What was your background prior to joining Bluebox?

I was living with my siblings in Oxfordshire. Most of them were beginning to go off and start their careers and I realised it was probably time I did the same. This is where I first met Tracy. I had a few interviews with her before landing my position and subsequently heading to London to take on the corporate world.

  1. What does a typical day look like for you?

I catch the train in to work with Tracy. I love the days when the trains are less busy, that way I get my own seat and don’t have to lie on the floor and dodge all the foot traffic. We get in at Marylebone station, a lovely little stroll away from the office. Once in the office, I’m greeted by all the team members because apparently, I’m ‘just so cute’. Not sure if that type of attention is really allowed, might need to take that up with HR. I then go and settle on my pink fluffy bed, I am a boy but it’s 2020 and I can like pink, before doing my regular rounds of checking up on the team to see if they’re doing their work.

  1. What is your favourite part about being in the office?

So many more things to chew. I love wires, taking socks out of peoples’ bags and since I’m growing more and more each day, I can now pop up and scan the desks to see if anything takes my fancy. Essentially, I’ve helped the team keep their space tidier because if there’s anything lying around, I will chew it.

  1. What is your biggest achievement to date?

I learnt ‘sit’ and ‘drop’ really quickly and I hardly ever go to the loo inside.

  1. What are some of the biggest challenges you face working at Bluebox?

I’d have to say my biggest challenge is coping with the stress of Tracy walking out of the office. Sometimes I think she’s just never going to come back but then she does and it’s amazing.

Rapid Fire:

If you could have any superpower, what would it be? To not fall for that trick when humans pretend to throw something for you.

If you could only eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be? Any type of meat. I’m talking sausages, steak, chicken, bacon and none of those biscuits that taste like it. Only the real stuff.

If an actor were to play you in a movie, who would you want it to be? Marley from Marley and Me
