Bluebox Team complete the Vitality 10k London race

June 6, 2018

On Monday 28th May, the fearless four of Jack, Charlotte, Beth and Sam took part in, and completed, the Vitality 10k London Run in aid of our corporate charity, Rays of Sunshine.

They overcame the heat and humidity, finishing with an average time of 55 minutes and two beating the 50 minute mark. Sadly they were not quite able to keep up with Sir Mo Farah, who had finished before some had even started, but they did raise over £2,000 for Rays of Sunshine!

The race kicked off on The Mall and finished opposite Buckingham Palace, following a clockwise route around the City of Westminster and the City of London. Knowing that all the money raised so far was going to such a great cause was enough to keep the team motivated throughout (and some may even say they enjoyed it)!

There are currently up to 49,000 children living in the UK with a life-limiting illness. This figure is increasing every year and Rays of Sunshine believes that every child deserves to experience happiness and put their illness on hold – even if it is just for one day. Their vision is to make wishes come true and turn them in to happy memories. It is not too late to donate, so if you can please do visit our Bluebox JustGiving page.
