Bluebox Charity Sports Day in aid of The Childhood Trust

September 12, 2023

In a spirited display of camaraderie, three teams; Adler ShineEdwin Coe, and Bluebox, came together to support a noble cause at last week’s Charity Sports Day. The event featured a line up of activities, including rounders, a penalty shootout and tug of war, all aimed at raising funds for the winning team’s chosen charity.

The Charity Sports Day, organised by Bluebox, brought together respective Teams for an afternoon of healthy competition and giving back. Participants showcased their teamwork, determination, and sportsmanship throughout the event, creating an atmosphere of excitement and healthy competition.

The day kicked off with an action-packed game of rounders, where teams demonstrated their co-ordination and strategic thinking. The competition was fierce, but the spirit of unity prevailed as all participants cheered each other on. Adler Shine’s batting and catching skills gave the other team’s a run for their money, making them the overall winner’s. Next, the teams engaged in a penalty shoot out, where they showcased their soccer skills and nerves of steel. Spectators of Regent’s Park were treated to some breath taking saves and stunning goals. Whilst many successful shots were taken by all teams, Bluebox had a combination of great kicks and undefeated goalie’s, titling them as winners of this game.

The highlight of the day was definitely the tug of war, which was the tiebreaker for the winning team. Participants displayed sheer determination and tactical knowledge to excel their success. Whilst Adler Shine indeed defeated Edwin Coe at this one, Bluebox pulled out all the stops to win overall, and defeated the other teams by a landslide through their rope pulling skills.

After a day filled with competitive spirit and sportsmanship, it was Bluebox that emerged as the overall winners of the Charity Sports Day. Their impressive performance across all three activities earned them the coveted title. As part of their victory, Bluebox had the honour of choosing the charity to receive the funds raised during the event. They decided to donate the proceeds to The Childhood Trust, a charitable organisation dedicated to alleviating the impact of childhood poverty.

“We are thrilled to have hosted this wonderful event,” Said Bluebox’s COO, Tracy Kingsnorth. “The real winners today are the children and families supported by The Childhood Trust. We are proud to contribute to their important work.”

The Charity Sports Day was not only a testament to the power of teamwork and sportsmanship but also a shining example of corporate social responsibility. All three teams – Adler Shine, Edwin Coe, and Bluebox – demonstrated their commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of those in need.
